Oppo Reno 5A will be up for sale in Japan in the earlier half of June. There are two color options that we can choose from. The display has a fast refresh rate of 90 Hz, and there is 5G connectivity available, as well as the support of NFC.
When the phone launches, we will see the certification of IP68. The company has put four cameras at the back of the model. There are other perks that the phone has received. Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 G processor has been used in this phone. This processor supports and enables 5G connectivity. In the front, we will find a punch-hole cutout for the front camera, and there can be a maximum of 128 GB of internal storage. The phone will sport some exciting AI (artificial intelligence) packed features like Live HDR, a mode for Ultra Night Video, and clicking Neon Portraits. The operating system that has been used in the phone is the ColorOS 11, which has been designed on the basis of Android 11. The 6.5 inches FHD+ LTPS display seems perfect with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a pixel count of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. We will surely be impressed with this 90 Hz refresh rate screen that the phone is going to provide us. Other than that, there is a fixed touch sampling frequency of the display, 180 Hz. There is a pixel density of 450 PPI. The processor used here is the Qualcomm SD 765G which has eight cores and sixteen threads. This is coupled with the superior RAM type, LPDDR4X.
Coming to the optics portion of the phone, we find a setup of four cameras placed at the back in a rectangle-shaped module. The primary sensor that has been used is a 64 MP sensor which has an aperture of f/1.7. The secondary lens used here is an 8 MP ultra-wide lens which has an aperture of f/2.2. The next sensor used is a 2 MP monochrome sensor which has an aperture of f/2/4. Lastly, we get to see a macro shooting lens that has a sensor of 2 MP. In the front, we see a 16 MP camera housed in the punch-hole cutout. This lens has an aperture of f/2.0. So we see that the front camera setup is sufficient for clicking decent selfies, videos and attending video calls. The phone is certified to be dust and water-resistant with IP68.
The phone can have a maximum internal storage of 128 GB which can be expanded to a maximum of 1 TB using a micro SD card. There are almost all sorts of connectivity options like 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging the phone. We will find several sensors in the phone like ambient light, accelerometer, pedometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and a fingerprint sensor or scanner on the side.
Availability of Oppo Reno 5A
As of now, we have no idea about the price will be for this phone. The phone will first be launching in Japan in the earlier half of June. The color variants that will be available for the users are- Silver Black, and Ice Blue.
This phone comes next in line to Oppo Reno 3A, which launched in 2020. That phone was priced at JPY 39,800 (which can be calculated to be around Rs. 26,600).
