Crytek has confirmed the rumors about Crysis 2 Remastered on their Twitter handle. Currently, we are only guessing how the Crytek 2 Remastered might be based on the Crytek Remastered and might include improved texture, lighting, ray tracing, DLSS support.

The first game of CryEngine 3, Crytek 2, was launched in 2011, and the story is set in a catastrophic world damaged by natural disasters and is about to break down anytime. The aliens have returned with a battalion to destroy the humans from the heart of the city.

The alien invaders go around New York City. Apart from the invasion in the city, it is also affected by a plague in the form of a harsh pandemic affecting the inhabitants. As a result, the situation is collapsed, with the skyline ravaged and in flames. The atrocities can’t be tackled by either the US military forces or the paramilitary forces. Anyone who chooses to confront them is turned dead. Only technology and no other force can deal with this crisis. However, a single man will use the combat-enhancing technology from the future Nanosuit 2 to save the human race and survive the urban jungle of New York.
