Scottish famous actor Kevin Guthrie who has worked in the films like Fantastic Beasts and Dunkirk, has been sent to 3 years of imprisonment for the sexual assault case on one woman in Glasgow.
According to BBC, Guthrie denied all the assaults on him as he said that the woman was not well and was suffering from high fever and he sort of helped her. Though after the medical tests, some samples of Kevin Guthrie were found on woman’s inner garments. After the four-day trial, he was proven guilty and was received three years of jail on high sexual assault charges.
This case happened at actor Scott Reid’s flat in September 2017. Court heard the 29-year-old plan too about how she falls ill and meets the couples at the bar. As per the BBC reports, Scott Reid dialed the NHC helpline number, and Guthrie took care of the woman in helping the woman inside and took care of her. The woman told the court in her statement that she was forcefully placed on the bed, and Guthrie started trying sexual acts on her and forcefully gripped her down. As soon as Scott Reid come back, Guthrie stopped.
The jury finds Guthrie had committed these heinous crimes. The woman trusted them and was even ill, but Guthrie misused the opportunity and sexually assaulted her and affected her without her consent.
Guthrie played a major role in Fantastic Beasts as Abernathy in 2016, worked in its sequel to Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindlewald in 2018, and also played a major role in Where to Find Them. Also, Guthrie was also in the Harry Potter spinoff series, which was going to be most probably release in 2022. Guthrie will not be seen in the movie.
