Amazon Launches Amazon miniTV as the in app streaming service
Amazon has launched its new product, Amazon miniTV, in India as a video streaming platform. The platform will be used to stream web series: comedy shows, beauty, and fashion shows.
The new streaming service will be going to be available for Indian users within the Amazon app. It is available for free of cost. Once you click the mini TV option, it will land you on a page where you can see the top contents from many youtube creators like Ashish Chanchlani, Sejal Kumar, Prajakta Koli, and Malvika Sitlani.
Many might question that Amazon already has a platform for shows and movies, Amazon Prime, so why did they launched this new streaming platform. To answer this, let me tell you that Amazon Prime video and miniTV are very different.
The first reason is miniTV is available free of cost, whereas you will have to pay 329 RS a month, 999 RS per year to avail Amazon Prime. The Prime Video mainly offers access to the new Amazon Originals shows and movies as exclusive content.
In contrast to that, the newly launched miniTV will give let you stream web series, comedy shows, tech news, food, beauty, and fashion videos. Moreover, for miniTV you don’t require downloading any other application as the users will access this from within the Amazon shopping app.
Amazon’s miniTV video streaming platform is currently available for android users only; the company stated that they would soon release the version for the ios users.
The leading studios in the Amazon miniTV are VF, Pocket Aces, and leading comedians such as Ashish Chanchlani, Amit Bhadana, Shruti Arjun Anand, Round2Hell, Harsh Beniwal, Prajakta Koli, Swagger Sharma, Elvish Yadav, Aakash Gupta, and Nishant Tanwar.
Even YouTubers like Trakin Tech and fashion experts such as Sejal Kumar, Malvika Sitlani, Prerna Chhabra, ShivShakti, and Jovita George will also be going to feature in miniTV in the coming months. In addition, there is also an option for food and cooking content available on the platform. The platform has already curated videos from Kabita’s Kitchen, Cook with Nisha, and Gobble.
In the upcoming months, Amazon miniTV will add loads of new and exclusive content to miniTV. With this new Amazon product, we think they are trying to compete the Youtube, but Youtube has a much larger platform than miniTV. But as this new application is free for all the users and anyone with an Amazon android app will access it, we think it will be interesting to see how this newly launched application of Amazon performs.
