Anupam Kher leaves the NBC Medical Drama New Amsterdam
Recently Anupam Kher posted on social media regarding his decision to leave NBC Medical Drama New Amsterdam. Well, the shooting of US TV Shown was suspended due to pandemic, and after that, Anupam Kher returned to Mumbai. After returning, Anupam Kher tested positive for Covid-19, and also the other cast of this show also tested positive. He decided to leave this show because of her wife Kiran Kher diagnosed with cancer.
In this show, Anupam Kher played the role of an Indian Doctor, as Dr. Vijay Kapoor. He was part of the show for the first two seasons. As soon as the third season starts, show members got to know about Anupam Kher’s resignation.
When New Amsterdam started in the year 2018, Anupam Kher said that the show is all about humanity in diversity. It is a story related to a hospital where only humanity is practiced and no religion. Even when asked about the two different countries and how he will manage, he said that it’s only about work and he wanted to work in a committed TV Show series and has signed for six months, and the rest of six months he is free.
At the starting of this month, Anupam Kher shared the illness of his wife Kiran Kher and informed the fans so that rumors don’t get spread fast. He informed that Kiran was diagnosed with a type of Blood cancer and is under the guidance of phenomenal doctors and will soon come out of this situation.
Due to the pandemic, the show’s shooting was suspended, and that’s why Anupam Kher returned to his home in Mumbai. After that, he was tested positive with covid 19, and also the other cast member s of the show tested positive.
