The new Redmi K40 Gaming Edition smartphone comes equipped with two shoulder buttons that can pop up. The phone provides superior quality of audio because of the dual speakers. Since it’s a gaming phone, the input of RGB lights on the back makes it look even more attractive. Heavy gaming requires a high-capacity battery. The phone has already launched in China, and it is the company’s first phone in the K40 series. Judging from the phone’s name, it is evident that the phone will be packed with gaming features. There are three mics in the phone, two pop-up shoulder buttons, the audio is Dolby Atmos and has been fine-tuned by JBL. The phone’s design makes it look more like a standard phone than a gaming phone with catchy looks and thick ones. IP53 dust and water resistance capabilities are the other good features of this phone.

The User interface used in the phone is the MIUI 12.5, which has been designed based on Android 11. Heavy gaming calls for some excellent displays o enjoy the games. This phone has an OLED full HD+ display, which is 6.67 inches in size. The touch sampling rate is 480 Hz, and the screen allows a fast refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. There is a support of HDR10+. The processor used here makes the phone able to do gaming so smoothly. MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC processor is equipped in the phone. The storage is LPDDR4x RAM of 12 Gb and UFS 3.1 internal storage of 256 GB.

Coming to the optics, the phone has three cameras in the rear. One of them is the 64 MP lens which acts as the primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.65. The next is the ultra-wide-angle sensor of 8 MP. Finally, the rear part ends with a 2 MP macro sensor. A punch-hole cutout holds a 16 MP front camera for clicking selfies and attending video calls in the front.
Every connectivity option is available on the phone. Wi-Fi, GPS, 5G, NFC, and USB Type-C slot for charging are all there in the phone. The fingerprint sensor is mounted on the side. The charging port has an additional L-shaped extender. Since the phone is a gaming phone, cooling is very important. LiquidCool technology is used along with white graphene to keep the phone cool and stable while gaming.

Price of Redmi K40 Gaming Edition
The price of the phone has been fixed according to their storage variants. The 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage variant costs CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 23,000). The configuration of 8 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage costs CNY 2,199 (around Rs. 25,300). The next has the same RAM but 256 GB internal storage and costs CNY 2,399 (around Rs. 27,600).
Now let us look at the higher RAM variants. The 12 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage variant costs CNY 2,399. The following variant has the same RAM but has an internal storage of 256 GB. This costs CNY 2,699 (which is around 31,100). The phone comes in a few color options- Siler, Black, and White. There is a special edition of the phone which is also available. It has been named Bruce Lee Special Edition.
