One of the tipsters has mentioned that the phone has been listed on the Indian IMEI database. The phone will come with an awe-inspiring WQHD+ OLED flexible display which is 8.01 inches in size. The phone has already been launched in China. The Indian IMEI database and the worldwide database also have this phone listed on them. This suggests that the phone will launch in countries outside China very soon. Xiamoi’s first step towards innovation has resulted in this phone. This foldable smartphone will say a lot about the company’s work and the competition over the foldable phones from Huawei (Huawei Mate X2) and Samsung (Galaxy Z Fold 2). There is a U-shaped hinge in the phone.

Mukul Sharma, a tipster, has tweeted about the phone being listed on the IMEI website in India. It bears the model number M2011J18G. The ‘G’ in the model number stands for global. This points towards a global release of the phone. Although it has been listed on the Indian IMEI database, we cannot guarantee whether it will launch in India or when it will launch in India. Once the company makes a few official announcements, we will get some ideas.
The company has not mentioned anything about it yet. They have been busy with the current launch of the Mi 11 series- Mi11, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, and Mi 11X. In India, all these phones will launch on the 23rd of April. The 11 series also looks to be very promising. Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro+ will come to India as Mi 11X and Mi 11X Pro.

The proprietary Image Signal Processor, Surge C1, will be equipped in the phone. Another feature of Liquid Lens technology will also be put to use here. The U-shaped hinge has passed more than 200,000 bends during the testings. This proves that the phone is truly reliable when it comes to folding the screen constantly. The screen is a big 8.01 inches screen with a WQHD+ OLED display. The peak brightness goes up to 900 nits, and the screen has a 4:3 aspect ratio. The AMOLED panel has a resolution of 840 x 2,520 pixels with a maximum brightness of 700 nits.
The phone flashes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, paired with LPDDR5 RAM of 16 GB and UFS 3.1 storage of 512 GB. There are three cameras at the back, with the primary sensor being 108 MP. The phone uses the Samsung HM2 sensor in the primary 108 MP camera. The other cameras are an 8 MP with liquid lens technology and an ultra-wide-angle camera of 13 MP. On the front side, there is a 20 MP camera for clicking selfies and attending video calls.
The base variant of the smartphone comes with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal space. This variant cost CNY 9,999, which is around Rs. 1,15,600. The upper variant comes with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB internal storage; this costs CNY 10,999. The Indian equivalent price is Rs. 1,27,000. The topmost variant has 16 GB RAM and 512 GB internal storage. It costs CNY 12,999, which is around Rs. 1,50,000.
