OnePlus will soon be launching its new phone, the OnePlus 9R, in China soon. The 5G variant of the phone has been launched in India in March along with the other phones in the 9 series. This phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC and was supposed to launch in China much earlier at a price that is cheaper than that of the Indian price. The company has officially announced that the phone will launch on the 15th of April at 14:00 local time of the place.

One of the leakers has mentioned that the phone is done with all the major certificates in China and is set for launch in the country. The phone has a lot of resemblance in its features with the OnePlus 8T, but the processor used in the new phone is better SD 870. The phone might come at a price of 3,000 Yuan, according to a few leaks. This price is way under Rs. 34,000. Thus the cost of the phone in China is way lesser than its price in India.

OnePlus 9R: Specifications

The new smartphone comes with an impressive FHD+ AMOLED display which is 6.55 inches in size. The screen supports a fast refresh rate of 120 Hz. This refresh rate has been mentioned among all the phones in the series. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels.

The other two higher superior variants of the phone come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, but this phone has a downgrade in the processor. This comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. There are two different RAM variants- 8 GB and 12 GB, and there are two different variants for internal storage- 128 GB and 256 GB. The internal storage type used in this phone is UFS 3.1. The operating system used here is OxygenOS 11, which has been built on Android 11. The phone surely comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor.

If we look at the camera setup, then at the rear, there is a quad-camera module. The primary lens is of 48 MP Sony IMX586 sensor with f/1.75; next comes a 16 MP Sony IMX481 sensor; then comes a 5 MP macro sensor; and lastly, there is the 2 MP monochrome sensor. There is a 16 MP Sony IMX471 sensor for clicking selfies and attending video chats in the front.

Several other camera styles and filters come with the phone, like CINE Aspect Ratio Video Recording, Cyberpunk fashioned filter, UltraShot HDR, Video Portrait, Panorama, Nightscape, AI Scene Detection, Smart Pet Capture, Video Nightscape, and Super Stable. The phone gets its working energy from a 4,500 mAh battery that comes with a feature of fast charging, termed as Warp Charge 65T.
