This product from Xiaomi will be the most expensive product to date in India. The reports confirm the price to be Rs. 70,0000. Xiaomi has started promoting this phone by calling it a Superphone because of the exclusive features and superior processor.
Xiaomi will not manufacture the phones in India currently; it will import the units from China. So this will cause some monetary expenditure of the company for the import duty. Hence the phone is a bit highly-priced in India as compared to that of China.
In China, the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage variant was fixed at CNY 5,999, which is around Rs. 67,000 in India. The next variant, which has 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage, is priced at CNY 6,499, around Rs. 72,600 in INR.

The company has high hopes for the new phone and hopes to bring good results.
