Elon Musk: Tesla Cars Can Now Be Bought Using Bitcoin

Elon Musk, Tesla founder, has revealed that now we can buy a Tesla Vehicle using Bitcoin. Yes, you heard it right, from now on Tesla cars can be purchased using Bitcoin. Today by a series of tweets, Elon Musk broke this news to the public. In the tweet, he stated, “You can now buy a Tesla using Bitcoin,” and as of now, it will be available only in the USA, and later this year, the option will be available outside the USA as well.

Today in a tweet, he said, “You can now buy a Tesla using Bitcoin” further, he added in another tweet that ” Tesla is using only internal & open source software & operates Bitcoin nodes directly. Bitcoin paid to Tesla will be retained as Bitcoin, not converted to fiat currency.”

Elon Musk in the previous month has said that it bought $1.5 billion of bitcoin and will soon expect its form of payment from the public for buying Tesla vehicles. Elon Musk has been promoting CryptoCurrency through his tweeter account recently. Even he criticized the conventional cash and said it has a genuine adverse interest, and a fool wouldn’t look elsewhere.

Following Tesla’s investment in Cryptocurrencies, several other companies such as Uber Technologies Inc and Twitter Inc also declared their opinion on Cryptocurrencies; even Uber chief executive Dara Khosrowshahi said the company had discussed the idea of investing in Bitcoin.

In the future, we might be able to see Uber accepting this Cryptocurrency as a payment method. And General Motors C has stated that they will assess if bitcoin can be taken as a payment method for their vehicles.

Twitter, on the other half, said that they are uncertain about holding bitcoin.
