The feature-length anime film Demon Slayer: Mugen Train is about to get released in the US. It broke the record of highest grosser of Spirited Away and replaced it.
When it was released in Japan last October, it quickly became a favorite among fans, in spite of the audience held back from thronging to theatres due to prohibitions of the pandemic. It went on to become the first Japanese grosser to make a business of $400 million at the box office: done a business of $350 domestically and $417 internationally, this overtaking Spirited Away by Hayao Miyazaki. This Anime film also ranked 15th as an all-time highest-grossing film, which is not English. It has been rated R.
Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Plot
The full title of the film is Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train and is directed by Haruo Sotozaki while written by Koyoharu Gotoge. The inspiration of the title and this film is a 2019 anime series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
The film centers around the character Tanjiro Kamado who wants to find a cure for his sister Nezuko, who is gradually transforming into a demon. The film is joined with characters like Zenitsu and Inosuke, who joined swordsmen Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku to investigate some 40 people aboard the train.

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Release Date in the US

After its spectacular commercial and popular success in Japan, the film is gearing for its theatrical release in North America, under the endeavors of distributers Aniplex of America and Funimation, on Friday, 23rd April 2021.
The tickets will be up for sale from 9th April. It will be released with subtitles or a dubbed version of English, 4DX, or IMAX theatres.
The President of Aniplex of America, Shu Nishimoto, says they are thrilled to bring the film to the US and acknowledges the huge positive fan response as the main drive for their endeavor. He says they are excited to see the fans know about the rest of the journey of Tanjiro as a Demon Slayer. From 22nd June onwards, The film will also be available across many online streaming platforms and digital video stores.
So to say shortly, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train has got promoted to the esteemed spot from being the box – office smashing film in Japan, to that of a global franchise, since the original video game is getting developed, and also a second season of the anime series also on the way. So it will be a treat to watch it in theatres as the anime film is totally packed with action, adventure and thrill.
