JioBook by Jio will come at a very pocket-friendly price for the users

For the upcoming hardware project, Jio might launch a laptop to carry forward its digital presence all over the country. A few key points would be that Jio has been working on this laptop, JioBook, for a long time since September 2020. JioBook might have embedded in it Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC as its processor. The laptop will reach a stage in April when the product will be validated.

JioBook will be a pocket-friendly laptop, as said by Reliance Jio. The laptop will be built based on a forked Android, which will be named JioOS. There might also be a few pre-installed applications from Jio when the laptop is in its mint condition. It also comes with 4G LTE support. A few reports stated that Jio was working on this project for a fairly long time. In today’s world, every household in India has some product of Jio’s. Be it their sim card, a JioPhone, Jio-Fi, and others. This is mainly because their prices are very less and very much affordable. With a reasonable price, the launch of this laptop would build their markets even more among the people looking for a budget-friendly laptop.

JioBook to come in the first half of 2021

Jio has partnered with Bluebank Communication Technology, a Chinese manufacturing company, for their laptop. It has also been found that Jio develops their JioPhones in their factories.

XDA Developers mentioned that work on Jio’s laptops began back in September 2020, and the work will be done by the first half of 2021. By mid-April, the machine will reach the stage of product validation. An image has been provided to show how it will look during its final stages.

The image shows that the machine comes with a key for Windows. However, the laptop is not running on WindowsOS. Hence there will be a few necessary changes that Jio will have to make before the final launch.

Expected Specifications of JioBook

The laptop will come with a display of 1,366 x 768 pixels resolution. The processor will be Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC with a 4G model of Snapdragon X12. Regarding storage, there will be one variant with 2 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 32 GB of eMMC internal storage and another variant having 4 Gb LPDDR4X RAM and 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage.

There will be a lot of connectivity options- dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a mini HDMI connector. There might also be an audio chip by Qualcomm and three axis accelerometer.
Applications like JioMeet, JioStore, JioPages will already be there once you purchase the laptop. Microsoft’s applications like Microsoft Edge, Office, and Microsoft Teams will also be present.

The prices of the laptop are not yet known. It is expected that the laptop will come at a pocket-friendly price.
