Samsung brings Galaxy XCover 5 with Military Grade Certifications

The king of South Korean smartphone manufacturing companies, Samsung, has come up with a brand new smartphone- Galaxy XCover 5 Rugged. This smartphone is just the upgraded version of Galaxy XCover 4, which was launched back in 2017.

The new phone comes with a display of 5.3 inches. The screen is an HD+ TFT LCD screen that comes with a pixel count of 1480 x 720. The phone gets its power from Exynos 850 chipset processor. There is a variant of 4 GB RAM and an internal capacity of 64 gigs of memory regarding storage. The phone is comfortable to hold with its weight of around 172 grams, and its dimensions are 147.1 x 71.6 x 9.2 mm.

There is just one camera that has a sensor of 16 Megapixels, f/1.8, and comes with a LED flash in the rear. In the front, Samsung has provided a 5 MegaPixel f/2.2 sensor for clicking selfies. Regarding security- there is end-to-end encryption by Samsung Knox, and the feature of face unlocking is also present.

The phone holds a 3,000 mAh battery which supports quick charging of 15 Watt. The phone will run on the Android 11 operating system. If we look at the orts and pins, the phone has a USB Type C port, dual nano-SIM of 4G LTE, POGO pins, 5 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and also NFC.

The phone is available in only a single colour- Graphite Black. There are no other fancy color options. This smartphone is a rugged category phone with IP68 certification for resistance against water and dust. The phone also sports a Miliary grade certification which means the phone can go through harsh situations. For example- the phone will survive even if it is dropped from a height of 1.5 meters.

Currently, there is one storage variant of the phone that has already been mentioned above. It has been given a price of £329 in the United Kingdom. By the end of March, the smartphone will launch in Asia, Latin America, and Europe. Samsung has also announced that the smartphone will be available in the offline stores once the stores all open up in a few places.
