CD Projekt Servers Face Real Problems after getting Hacked

CD Projekt has mentioned that hackers have hacked it by entering into the internal server network. The hackers have been able to encrypt a few of the devices and collect a lot of data from the gaming company. The developers of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher series have clearly stated that they will not give in to the demands and negotiations which the hackers are trying to make. CD Projekt also does not believe that all the players’ personal data have been compromised from the system.
CD Projekt has posted a tweet that tells the people about the servers being hacked. The hackers have said they have in possession with them the source code of games like Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3, Gwent, and surprisingly, an unreleased format of Witcher 3. They have also threatened the company to release the games’ source codes along with legal, financial, and HR documents of the company if CD Projekt does not come to a suitable agreement.
CD Projekt’s servers were hacked by a group of hackers!!
CD Projekt made a statement about its IT infrastructure being secured and the data being retrieved from the entire backup. The company has sent word to the specialist of IT forensics and all the other required authorities. It seems that the company is facing some tough times post the launch of Cyberpunk 2077- first the crash of the most awaited game and then this hack. Cyberpunk 2077 had come into the market with many bugs and issues related to PC and the older consoles’ performance. Sony almost removed it from the PlayStation Store, and refunds were given to the players who had bought the game. Microsoft did the same thing as well.
CD Projekt has promised to make the performance of Cyberpunk 2077 better by introducing patches. The game is facing some serious lawsuits from many of its investors. The investors are accusing the developers of misleading them about the game’s performance.
