Last Updated on January 28, 2021 by

The first major Cyberpunk 2077 patch, Version 1.1 of which assures some fixes and adjustments of performance. It is supposedly the basis of all the upcoming updates, as said in their official Twitter handle.

According to the description from Developer CD Projekt Red, it’s a bigger and significant patch since it has the 1.2 updates from February in it.

There are both kinds of improvements under this patch: some operating across boards, and some applying on only particular platforms since the company stressed “performance optimization of crowds on PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation 5”, without anything similar for Xbox One X or Xbox Series X, so it seems that PlayStation users are in a better situation than the ones for Xbox.

The Xbox-specific update, for its part, Till now only the memory usage has been stressed to improve for the Xbox update, but nothing for those who require speed. The patch is dependent on the format, the GOG version for 1GB, in contrast to 5-9 GB on Steam, because of different update mechanism and around 16 GB on the console.

The user review of this patch is better on PC; it is the best device to run it. According to a Reddit user, he couldn’t run it at the maximum settings before the update; after that, he could.

Players have appreciated the improvement of PlayStation performance. A PS4 Slim user with an hour of version 1.1 said the FPS got stable, especially during driving.

The experience of the PS4 pro user was also good, as crashing issues were solved, improving the performance overall. One of them said he couldn’t play properly, avoiding the places which caused crashing, and after this, he could play properly.

Xbox One has failed to garner positive reviews, though, because the experience was the same as usual for most users. It might be they tried to get Sony to restore the game to PlayStation Store, and the SK PlayStation version was their topmost concern now. Or this version was easy to optimize.

The Xbox One version users haven’t been served the kind of improvement they had been waiting for, as things are going till now., in this current set of hardware.

Still, there’s time, as, during the release of updated Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red presented it as a “larger, more significant update.” So now all just hope that no users are left behind, and updates operate in the correct direction.  Stay tuned for updates!!!
