Honor is coming with its new smartphone on the 18th of January. The news about the launch of the new smartphone was announced through a post which was put up on Weibo last Friday. The new phone, Honor V40 has a fantastic side view with a punch-hole design. V40 comes with a curved display screen, which makes it all the more attractive. There were a lot of rumors about the smartphone in the market. It has a four-camera setup in the rear and supports quick charging. The phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ SoC. The Pro and Pro+ version of the phone will follow after the launch of Honor V40.

Honor V40 will be launched in China, and its date of launch has been confirmed by the post on Weibo. The teaser gives us a look into the design of the phone from the side.

Honor does not compromise in V40’s looks- it showcases thin bezels and a smooth curved screen. The power button and the volume up-down button are all on the right side. There is a Type C charging port in the lower end of the phone. The loudspeaker grill and the Sim card portion are all on the sides.
Honor Mall– An online outlet for Honor will be selling V40 along with the other online sellers. The phone appears just 2 months after Huawei sold Honor while facing some serious US penalties.
The teaser does not showcase any details about the rear panel of the phone. There were some leaked pictures of the case of V40 on Weibo. These pictures show the cameras set up in a rectangular structure. There are 5 circular patterns cut on the case- 4 for the camera and 1 for the flash.

Honor V40 will have Magic UI 4.0 based on Android 10. The phone will have a large OLED display screen of 6.72 inches with a pixel count of 2,676×1,236. The screen refresh rate is rumored to be 120Hz. Mediatek Dimensity 1000+ Soc will be providing power to the phone. Regarding storage-there will be a minimum of 8GB RAM and till 256GB of storage space.

Honor V40 will sport a 64 MP or a 50MP primary camera. The dual front camera will be 32MP and 16MP. Battery numbers include a 4000 mAh battery and quick charging of 66W.
