The Crown lead Imelda Staunton was interviewed by This Morning that The Crown season five would begin filming in July 2021, which was mentioned in October 2020.

The Crown Season 5 Cast Details: Whom Can We Expect?
The cast of the series is being changed for the third time, but it can be considered the final halt. It is supposed to have a group of prolific actors who would bring out the true essence of the royal family set in the 1990s.
