MediaTek Dimensity 800U is declared as the first 5G Dimensity processor in India. The chip-maker stated the Dimensity 800U during the 2nd day of the ongoing India Mobile Congress 2020. The processor debuted back in August to deliver premium traits to the mid-range section. The company also announced that the Dimesnity 800U processor’s first phone would make its première in January 2021.

Mediatek desires to promote the 5G rollout in India with this chipset by bringing dual 5G SIM aid to mid-range 5G smartphones. The chipset is capable of delivering excellent multi-core performance. Reports point that the first phone powered by the Dimensity 800U could be the Realme X7, as has been revealed by company CEO Madhav Sheth.

Features of MediaTek Dimensity 800U
The Dimensity 800U chipset is manufactured on a 7nm architecture method and comes with 2 Arm Cortex-A76 CPUs operating at 2.4GHz and 6 power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2.0GHz. This is matched with a Mali-G57 MC3 graphics processor and holds up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage type. MediaTek declares that the 880U is up to 11% quicker than the Dimensity 700 series.
MediaTek Dimensity 800U Chip launched Will Powerup 5G phones in India.The 800U SoC supports 120Hz Full HD+ displays that allow a fast refresh rate for a smooth gaming and multimedia exposure and comes with HDR10+ playback comfort to enhance the optical quality. The chip is agreeable with a quad-camera setup on the back with up to 64MP camera sensors combined with APU and ISP that offers AI-backed traits. The chip can be joined with a 64MP camera or dual 20MP and 16MP cameras with traits like multi-frame noise-reducing, 3D noise reduction, and a few more.
MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor supports H.264, H.265/HEVC video encoding and playback codecs and can videotape in 4K UHD at 30FPS. The 800U chip also recommends Voice on Wakeup (VoW) with dual-microphone noise decrease technology that lowers voice assistants’ power usage and allows them to listen.
