It appears LG is working to become more active than before in terms of launching its projects in India. The South Korean company recently declared its flagship LG Wing and the Velvet smartphones in India. Now, LG may have indicated at the launch of two new smartphones in India. These two refer to the K-series and have already launched in some sections of the world. LG could launch K52 and K42 smartphones in India shortly.
LG K-Series: The BIS website has got two new K-series smartphones, by LG, enlisted.
As per the tipster Mukul Sharma, LG has filed for getting certifications for the K52 and K42 phones from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The two LG mobiles have model numbers LM-K420EMW and LM-K520EMW, wherein the former refers to the K42 and the latter K52. The BIS listing, screenshotted and given by Sharma, does not share a launch date, but it does allude to the two LG smartphones’ imminent release.
As both smartphones have already launched abroad, the official specs are already known.
LG K52: Specs and Price
The LG K5 had released in European stores for EUR 199, which is approximately Rs 17,800. The smartphone has a 6.6-inch 720p IPS LCD, but it does not have any high refresh rate. It has an 8 core MediaTek Helio P35 processor, matched with 4 Gb of RAM and 64 Gb of storage, which can expand further with a microSD card. It has Android 10 software with LG’s coat on top. The smartphone is MIL-STD-810G standard compliant.
The LG K52 arrives with a 48MP primary camera, a 5MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. For selfies, it carries a 13MP camera with 1080p video resolution. LG K52 takes its power from a 4000mAh battery, which does not support quick charging. It also has a side fingerprint sensor for authorization.
LG K42 Specifications and Price
The LG K42 is a little bit shaved down contrasted to the LG K52. It comes with a 6.6-inch 720p display with a punch-hole camera in the center. The smartphone does its work with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor matched with 3 gigs of RAM and 64 gigs of physical storage. There is support for a microSD card of up to 256GB. It works on Android 10 with LG UX OS.
Photography on the LG K42 is done by a quad-cam setup, including a 13MP main sensor, a 5MP ultrawide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The 8MP front camera runs the selfies on the device. A 4000mAh battery backs the LG K42 without provision for fast charging.
