Cobalion: Weaknesses

Cobalion is a steel and a fighting type pokemon and thanks to his unique mix of abilities. The Psychic, Flying, and Fairy Pokemon which generally have an advantage over the fighting types pokemon. Still, in the case of Cobalion, they will be able to do neutral damage to Cobalion. But as Cobalion still has steel type associated with it, that makes Cobalion exposed to Ground, Fire, and other Fighting Pokemon.

Cobalion will come into the battle with Iron Head (Steel), Close Combat (Fighting), or Stone Edge (Rock) and his fast attacks can either be Metal Claw or Zen Headbutt.

To counter those attacks ‘Groundon’, one of the legendary pokemon, might be helpful to you. Still, if you don’t have one with you, then you can use Garchomp, Hippowdon, and Mamoswine.

These are also pretty good alternatives for you as these ground, and Ice-ground types of pokemon can take some fair amount of damage from Cobalion. And fire type pokemon such as Entei can be one of your best bets while fighting against Cobalion. If you don’t have Entei with you, then you can also use other fire type pokemon such as Chandelure, Moltres, and Mega Charizard as they can also be effective against Cobalion.

Furthermore, you can also add Machamp, Hariyama, and Heracross in your team as well these fighting type pokemon can be useful against a Steel/fighting type pokemon like Cobalion.

Pokemon Go Cobalion Raid Guide: How to Attack?

Well, we will recommend you to start with Mega Charizard and use Fire Spin and Blast Burn first. Best if you use Entei with Fire Fang and Overheat, or Moltres with Fire Spin and Overheat, though other high fire attacks or Fighting types work well too against Cobalion.

And if you have Shadow and fighting type pokemon such as Shadow Machamp, Hariyama and Heracross. Shadow Machamp’s Counter and Dynamic Punch will be useful against Cobalion.

Hariyama’s counter, Dynamic punch and close fighting skills will also be super effective while fighting against Cobalion. And if you don’t have Hariyama with you you can use Heracross; the counter fighting skills and charge-move mega horn and earthquake of Heracross will be useful against Cobalion as well.
