AMD Ryzen Series Desktop processors, which were just launched globally last month, have now arrived in India. These are said to be the first processors that have the next-gen Zen-3 architecture. These new 5000 series processors replacing the previous year’s Ryzen 3000 processors, offer up to 16 core and 32 threads with up to 72MB of cache memory. Although the AMD Ryzen 5000 series still uses AMD’s 7nm process, it also gives a 19 percent increase in instructions per cycle.
In India, The AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors are available in 4 variants Ryzen5 5600X, Ryzen7 5800X, Ryzen9 5900X, and last in the lot is AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. The company claims that these new sets of processors will enhance our gaming performances and experiences as Ryzen 5000 series processors will be the fastest gaming CPUs, which will be delivering up to a 26 percent generational uplift in your CPU’s gaming performances.
The company also mentioned that AMD 500 series motherboards are also ready along with the 5000 series processors, and it will be available with a simple BIOS update. This broad ecosystem will support hundreds of AMD 500 series motherboards from all the major manufacturers and support AMD 400 series motherboards arriving by January 2021.
AMD Ryzen 5000 series: What is the Prize?
The AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors, as discussed above, are available in 4 variants that are Ryzen5 5600X, Ryzen7 5800X, Ryzen9 5900X, and AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. The first one, Ryzen 5600X, will be priced around INR 22,990/- then Ryzen7 5800X will cost around INR 34,490/-, Ryzen 9 5900X will cost around INR 41,999/- and lastly best in the lot AMD Ryzen 9 5950X will cost around INR 60,990/-.
According to AMD, The Ryzen 5950X SKU will offer around 26 percent better gaming performance as it comes with a unified eight-core complex with direct access to 32MB L3 cache. Also, these sets of processors have the next-gen Zen-3 architecture, so that will offer 19 percent better performance in IPC (instructions per cycle). All of these processors are said to be giving better performances than Intel’s current flagship Core i9-10900K. If the CPU is overclocked, this set of processors can give more FPS than intel flagship and can easily beat any high-end intel CPU with ease.
