The much-awaited second season of the Mandalorian has arrived. The first live-action series of the science fiction Star Wars franchise was launched on November 12, 2019, premiering on Disney+. In October 2012, Star Wars creator George Lucas had sold Lucasfilm to Disney. It was showcased five years after the events of Return of the Jedi. The series stars Pedro Pascal as the extremely lonely bounty hunter. His main aim in the series is to retrieve “The Child,” created by Jon Favreau.

The eight-episode season has met with positive reviews. It was nominated for the Outstanding Drama Series at the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards and has won seven awards in the creative arts section. The second season has been recently premiered on October 30th, 2020, and the third is in the loop.

PLOT

The Child in the plot is much popularly known as Baby Yoda, who has to be returned, and the Mandalorian has his full aim to fulfill the purpose. In the Star Wars universe, the Jedi and the Djarin have no clue where to find the child. This leads the bounty hunter to criminal kingpin Gor Koresh, making them know about the Mandalorian who lives in Tatooine.

In the series, R5 manages to find and possess a map mainly projected towards Djarin, leading the bounty hunter to Mos Pelgo and Cobb Vanth.

There has been a noticeable battle between a sand dragon along with Vanth and Dujardin. The armor worn by Djarin belonged to Boba Fett, who was awarded by Vanth. A mysterious character had also been spotted who watched Djarin ride away with Mos Pelgo.

Goransson and Favreau first met in November 2018, where they both discussed music that was majorly used in Westerns and Samurai films. Goransson was set out to recreate the music in a way that would capture the soul, unlike the other films or Star Wars series.
The main theme consisted mainly of bass recorders, pianos, drums, and guitars. Recording took place at the 20th Fox Century scoring stage between July to September 2020. Walt Disney Records is also expected to release a soundtrack for the second season in November 2020.

Thus, the Mandalorian has been successful at reaching a huge audience. Several plot twists present with an amazing conclusion, which makes the series loved by all. Star Wars still has the power to hold its crowd as it did since the 1990s, making it one of the world’s greatest science fiction.
