Call of Duty Modern Warfare: New Warzone Updates Rolled Out

Last Updated on February 13, 2021 by Amrit Chatterjee

Hello there, welcome to MediaScrolls, and in this article, we will discuss the latest videogame of the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty – Modern Warfare. The game was released in 2019 as a reboot version of the former Modern Warfare series and has recently received a massive update to its multiplayer database. Through this article, we will go over the update details and the features that it is bringing.

With other gaming franchises currently running their Halloween events on their multiplayer servers, it seems Infinity Ward didn’t wish to drag theirs for long. On 3rd November 2020(yesterday), the game production house released a gigantic update, which we can call a ‘series update’ or a ‘playlist update.’ The update is currently live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The ‘Haunting Event’ that was the event for the ongoing Halloween festival has been stopped.

The update is for both the games, i.e., Modern Warfare and Warzone. Here is the game-specific update list:

  • What Objective?
  • Shipment 24/7
  • Shoot House 24/7

  • Blood Money Quads
  • Warzone Rumble

Infinity Ward also tweeted about the update. Here’s the tweet:

The update’s playlist comes under the current season, i.e., Season 6 running in Call of Duty – Modern Warfare.

New ‘Pro Pack’ bundle in Call of Duty – Modern Warfare

A new update bundle has also been released specifically for the Warzone installment. This ‘update bundle’ has been developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software and is available in the in-game store. This ‘Pro Pack’ update is currently available for Xbox One and PC only.

However, the update is not for free as it has been made available only for real-world money transactions. Players have to buy the update from the in-game store viz. real-world currency and not in-game currency. The cost of the ‘Pro Pack’ is $19.99. Here is what the ‘Pro Pack’ encloses:

  • 2400 Call of Duty points
  • Epic Operator skin for Ghost edition
  • Legendary LMG Blueprint
  • Legendary Handgun Blueprint
  • Rare Calling Card – Rare Emblem
  • 60-Minute Double Weapon XP Token
  • 60-Minute Double Battle Pass Tier XP Token

You might be thinking, “What is Call of Duty points?” Well, they are nothing other than a form of in-game currency where in exchange for points, the player can avail of new character skins, weapon skins, weapon attachments, guns, knives, etc.

In collaboration with Raven Software, the developers, Infinity Ward, have continued to release in-game cosmetic contents alongside the Battle Pass System for Modern Warfare and Warzone titles. The contents are really popular among the players due to which the sale is humongous. Activision itself generated $1.2 billion only from micro-transactions between July and September 2020.
