The fourth season covers a time frame between 1979 till 1990. The plotline is mainly about how the British Royal family is burdened with finding an ideal bride for the 30 years old Prince Charles. Lady Diana and Charles’ relationship behind closed doors has also been reflected, suggesting the massive division between the couple and the Royal Family.

Margaret Thatcher, played by Gillian Anderson, will share a conflicting relationship with the Queen for her new divisive policies as the Prime Minister. Tensions arose between them, which brought about a ruckus in the Commonwealth.

There has been news where it is mentioned that the 1981 episode will be mentioned in the fourth season. The Queen had been fired by six shots during the Trooping of the Colour. The episode of Micheal Fagan, the Buckingham palace spy who intruded into the Queen’s bedroom, is also supposed to be cast.

The relation shared by US President Ronald Reagan and the Queen has been explored in this season, similarly to the US Presidents in the other three seasons.

The beginnings of the love triangle between Prince Charles, his future wife Camilla Parker-Bowles, and her husband Andrew Parker Bowles have also been mentioned in the plot. Also, the 1983 royal tour in Australia made by Prince Charles and Lady Diana can be seen.

The hostility shared between Margaret Thatcher, and Elizabeth II is the most remarkable topic that is pulling the crowd for this series. Also, the portrayal of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s grand wedding is expected to be a great eyecatcher. Overall, the political chaos and the grandiose effects, along with other important events, make The Crown Season 4 one of the most awaited series in this year of 2020.
