Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari: What will be the Plot?

The plotline is about a boy named Suraj, played by Diljit Dosanjh, on a bride hunt. Suraj Singh runs a dairy in Mumbai and is someone who is not fluent in English. Sadly, he cannot fix any proper relations since he is being thwarted by a detective who exposes men’s wrongdoings to the girls and their respective families. Manoj Bajpayee plays the role of the detective Madhu Mangal Rane.

Soon, Suraj gets to know about the detective constantly framing him with his pictures drinking beer that he had just drank once. Then, he decides to fix his relationship with Madhu’s sister, played by Fatima Sana Sheikh. The name of the sister’s character has not been revealed in the trailer.

Madhu’s sister and Suraj seem to share chemistry, which is sooner caught by Madhu. The detective stalked the couple and presented the pictures in front of his sister and family. Suraj also sprinkled some salt on Madhu’s burns by saying that he had ideas about everyone but had no idea what his sister was doing.

The latter half of the trailer shows how Madhu is having clashes with Suraj plus his own family. It ends with an abrupt note that does not hint at the movie’s climax scene, which proves how the movie cast has successfully delivered a good trailer.

Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is a film that is set in the genre of the 1990s. The trailer’s beginning only brings about a family touch since the whole movie revolves around a marriage’s typical Indian topic.

The newness of the trailer is about detective Madhu where Bajpayee seems to deliver an interesting performance. In the 90s, the internet and news spread was not as easy as it is today. The silent clicking of pictures and gathering information of the bridegroom and presenting it to the brides and their families bring about fresh content.

It also works as a shatter to the patriarchal notion where the woman is supposed to have the right image, and the man can be his own desired character since he is the only bread earner of the family. But there are also certain dialogues in the movie that have a touch of casual sexism and double meanings.

All of the leads seem to have a proper comic presence, but Manoj Bajpayee seems to outshine his role. It is fascinating to see Manoj Bajpayee in an out and out comic avatar while Diljit Dosanjh is once again acing in the hilarious bits. Fatima Sana Sheikh has a pleasant screen presence along with Annu Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Abhishek Banerjee, and Vijay Raaz.

Although having a low audience outreach, with such prolific actors and an exciting plotline, Suraj Pe Magal Bhari seems to bring about the deep meanings present in a society along with solid humor.
