Stranger Things Season 4 Welcomes a New Face – Release Date, Cast and Updates

Last Updated on May 7, 2021 by Joydeep Ghosh

Production for Stranger Things Season 4 has started already, and it seems that there is an inclusion of a new cast member. As per the recent developments, the new cast member is Levon Thurman-Hawke, aged 18, the second eldest child of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, and the actress Maya’s younger brother Hawke.

The Stranger Things Season 4 shooting has resumed already. The recent pictures from the sets of Stranger Things have surfaced across all the social media sites, which had made all the fans extremely excited about the forthcoming season.

The American science fiction television series created by the Duffer Brothers (they also work as the showrunner) was released initially on Netflix back in 2016. The viewers worldwide have loved the show; thus, it has been renewed four times so far and had 3 successful seasons. The last season of Stranger Things, Season 3, was released back in 2019.

Stranger Things Season 4: What’s new in Season 4?

Till now, more than 40 new pictures from the sets of Stranger Things Season 4 have been shared online with fans through social media. And it seems like the circumstances have changed. For example, it seems like Steve (played by Joey Keery) and Robin (played by Maya Hawke) have left the job at Starcourt Mall. They are now being seen in Hawkin’s local video store. So it suggests either they have found a new job or they are investigating something. On the other hand, Steve looks to be in a very romantic mood, flirting from time to time with the new character. The fans consider that this inclusion in the cast maybe can be Steve’s new love interest.

Apart from Steve and Robin, we can also see Dustin (played by Gaten Matarazzo) and Max (played by Sadie Sink) in the leaked images, both of them will be reprising their respective roles in season 4.

Talking about new inclusion in the cast looks like Levon Thurman-Hawk (real-life brother of Maya Hawke) might play Robin’s brother’s role.

The cast of Stranger Thing seems vast, and it will be exciting to see which part Levon Thurman-Hawk lands. According to our guesses judging by Levon’s outfits and on-set pictures, it seems like he might play a rebellious punk/rocker role.

The Game of Thrones star: Tom Wlaschiha was also seen in the teaser for a few seconds. It seems that he will be portraying a mysterious Russian soldier in the forthcoming season.

The Stranger Things Season 4 Shooting was paused due to the ongoing pandemic. The good news for all the Stranger Things fans is that the filming has resumed for the fourth season. According to our guesses, season 4 will arrive by MID-2021. Still, if we receive any further updates, we will keep you posted.

The Stranger Things Season 4 Cast Details

The Season 4 cast will include the following: Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike, Winona Ryder as Joyce, Noah Schnapp as Will, Caleb Mclaughlin as Lucas, and Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin. Apart from the main lead Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Maya Hawke, and Joe Keery will also arrive in Stranger Things Season 4. Tom Wlaschiha, Levon Thurman-Hawk, and Steve’s new love interest are among the cast’s new inclusion. If we get any more details on their character and roles, we will give you those updates.

What Can We Expect?

After season 4 ending, we saw Joyce and her sons Will and Jonathan, along with Eleven leaving Hawkins, gathering their stuff, and going to a new town. This indicates that in season four, we will witness the gang separated. For the first time, the show will now move away from Hawkins.

Jonathan and Nancy’s long-distance relationship is one more thing to think about. According to our guesses, there will be some issues in their long-distance relationship for sure.

As per the fan theories in season 4, Eleven will spark the Chernobyl power plant disaster of 1986. The theory suggests that season three moved to a close in October 1985, just six months from the April disaster in 1986. Although we don’t know whether this will be in the plot or not, It seems all of these things are linked together after the Russian spies were introduced in the latest season and the season 3 ending, and also in the teaser trailer.

Also, in Season 3 end, we witnessed that Chief Jim Hopper isn’t dead, so what will happen with Jim Hopper? will he meet Eleven again? If that happens, it will be an emotional reunion.

Apart from that, at the end of season three, we noticed that Eleven now lost all her powers after her battle with Mind Flayer. After that, there was no indication at the end of season 3 that her powers would return. So that will be one more to think about.

That is all we can think of on the season 4 plot. If we receive any further updates on the story of season 4, we will keep you posted. Till then, stay tuned to MediaScrolls.
