Raising Dion Season 2 Release Date: When Can We Expect the Show to Return?

Raising Dion Season 2 probably might arrive sometime in the second half of 2021. Covid-19 and the lockdown regulations affected the industry, and the majority of the shows have been delayed.

The second season of the show is still in the production stage, so it is
safe to assume that we might not see the show return until 2021.

If we receive any further updates on the release date, we will keep you posted.

Raising Dion Season 2 Cast Details and Episode Details

Based on the previous season responses, we can say that the show has been a huge hit. As per the reports from Variety, the Raising Dion Season 2 will feature around eight episodes in the second season. Which will be 1 episode less than the previous one, but I guess it will be worth it.

In the second season of Raising Dion, we can expect the core cast members to remain the same as Dion’s mother.

Nicole Reese, played by Alisha Wainwright, is one of the key characters in the show, so she will be there for the second season. Also, Dion’s father Mark who is not technically dead yet so we can expect some more screen time from Michael B. Jordan in the second season as well.

Jazmyn Simon, as Kat Neese, is also in for a second season.

Here is the cast list we think can return in the second season of Raising Dion for your better understanding. It includes Alisha Wainwright,
Ja’Siah Young, Jazmyn Simon, and Sammi Haney as Nicole Reese, Dion Warren, Kat Neese, and Esperanza Jimene.

Other actors who might return are Jason Ritter (Pat Rollins), Michael B. Jordan (Mark Warren), Gavin Munn (Jonathan King), and Griffin Faulkner (Brayden).

Griffin Faulkner also shared his excitement for the second season on twitter, so we can expect him to return in the second season, especially after the cliffhanger finale.

Raising Dion Season 2 Plot: What To Expect in The Second Season?

Raising Dion Season 1 Finale was a cliffhanger for the fans. At the end of the season 1 finale, we observed that the mysterious, murderous storm was Dion’s godfather Pat (Jason Ritter) all along. And as it turns out in the end, he got those powers from his exposure to the aurora event in Iceland back in 2010, but he just kept this as a secret from everyone (besides the people he was murdering throughout the series).

Pat used his storm powers to absorb other super-powered people into himself, thus relieving his symptoms. It wasn’t until he soon realized that Dion has healing powers, so he saw an opportunity to get away from his condition. His new mission was to get Dion to use all of his healing powers to release so much energy that might kill the kid.

Dion and his super-team, including his mom Nicole, best friend Esperanza, frenemy Jonathan, and BIONA head Suzanne successfully defeated Pat. They did so by deceiving him in his storm form makeshift lightning rod and exploding him with a whole bunch of science.

Pat/Crooked Man disappeared into the sky, so that indicates he probably died with the blast. Then reappears Dion’s father Mark he consoles his wife.

The critical point to note in this season finale was Mark’s appearance because, after Pat’s defeat, all the spirits he consumed were released, giving Mark a chance to bid his last goodbye to his wife and children, Dion.

So in season 2, We can probably expect the show to be more focused on bringing Mark and those absorbed by the Crooked Man. So we can witness Mark ton return in season 2 along with the absorbed souls who were released after the defeat of Crooked Man.
